Christmas for the Fishes
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, along with Claytor Lake State Park and The Friends of Claytor Lake will be doing our annual Christmas for the Fishes to build more habitat on Claytor Lake. In case of inclement weather, and alternate date of Tuesday, January 28th has been set.

VDGIF Boater Safety Class
Boat Virginia is presented by US Power Squadrons certified instructors. Subjects will include proper vessel outfitting and operation, personal safety for skipper & crew, rules of the road, legal requirements, and courteous & safe boating activities. All materials will be available at the class. There are NO FEES for this course. Successful completion will result in obtaining the Virginia Boater Education Card as required for boat operation. Boater Safety Course
This course is recommended for students 12 years of age or older. Instruction and materials are free of charge. Please bring a pencil, a highlighter, and your lunch. Only registered participants are allowed in the classroom. You must cancel your registration before Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 8:00am EST.
